Which British sports car should I buy?
I would like to indulge my passion for British sports cars by buying either a Triumph Stag or a TVR Chimera or Griffith. The Stag is a classic but is of steel construction, whereas the TVRs are more modern but do have the advantage of having fibreglass bodies. I have a budget of around £10,000. Which would you recommend, and are there any similar cars I could consider?

You will get far less performance from a well sorted Stag, but also far less trouble. However, you might find that the Stag is out of your budget - the prices of half-decent classics have shot up recently, including those of early TVRs.
You could also consider a Triumph TR7 or an MG MGB if you can find one within your budget. If you are seriously considering a Stag, the first thing you should do is join Club Triumph: www.club.triumph.org.uk/
