Is a 1990s Ford Escort Cabriolet considered a classic car?

I have a 1992 Ford Escort Cabriolet. I have had it from new and wondered would this be considered a classic car now?

These are definitely starting to make the journey towards modern classic status, but they need a few more years yet. Currently, you'd be looking at about £1500 for this - although the nice history may mean you can ask more (as long as you're in no rush to sell).
